Hello,

It is a good thing, since the client caches a lot of information during a connection.

Generally the IMAP servers should disconnect the session if it is idle for more than 30 minutes, so I believe that everything is normal.

If you use a good IMAP client eg Pine, you will see sessions lasting several weeks.

We recently upgraded from 5.0.9 to 5.3.2 and now see a few long-term IMAP sessions, some connected for more than 8 days.

Is this a good or bad thing? Is there a way to limit the maximum IMAP session, much like the limit for WebUsers (under Settings -> Access : Session Time Limit)?
