Hello,

There was a CGP newsletter a while back running up to the release of 5.4
that seemed to indicate that the 2GB mail folder size limit had been
removed... Of course, I can't find a copy (It's also possible that I
misread/misunderstood...)

Does anyone else remember this?

I have a test 5.4.1 machine and a user has hit the 2GB folder limit (on
x86-64 RHEL5.4 Linux). Should this still be an issue? RHEL (and Linux in
general) have had >2GB files for quite a while now...

A related question; although mdir shifts the 2GB limit to message size
(basic issue is max underlying file size), it wasn't recommended at one
point due to lack of folder indexing. Is this still the recommendation?

Put another way; What is the recommended method for allowing large mail
folders in CGP 5.4.1?

Thanks,
Wayde Nie.
