Here is what support told us about it long lines when we had issues trying to  move  them.

It must be a spam  because legitimate messages normally obey the standards and don't have such lines
The standard allows 998 characters per line as maximum, but CommuniGate accepts much longer lines.
You also can try fixLongLines.pl script from
http://www.communigate.com/ScriptRepository/ to "fix" the file.

The mdir can store longer lines than sliced o mbox.
So the mail on one cgp could be ok as it goes to a mdir mailbox, but refused on another as it can’t be stored on sliced

I notice these every week or two; the sending IP address is also a CGP server (6.1.x).  There are no files in the Bad Files folder on either CGP; the remote machine’s Server log has no entries for that time (allowing for the fact that the machines do have a time difference of ±3 minutes), although the sending machine’s Email log does show that there is one sent to my address at 06:52±3 minutes:

Is there a way to see the “long-line” file or otherwise determine what is happening?  Setting the log levels to show more info isn’t practical, because it would trap tons of data for a rare occurrence, which I only happen to notice by chance if/when I check the logs.  Cheers,
