Thank you Tom. Funny, I remember asking and yet I went through the archives and couldnt find a bloody thing. This time Im filing it away safely. I think the reason I didnt implement it previously is because I was on an eval, and only within the last year did I finally purchase, upgrade and have Nicolas consult and install Pollustop for us.
Thank you much, I apologize for asking the question again!

Bob

Bob,

I just dug through the archives, as I went through this a while back, and you had asked before. The solution that came up last time this subject was raised is also the one I implemented.

Specifically, I use Niversoft's FindAttachments script (which is included with Pollustop, a product I highly recommend). The script adds a header with the attachment extension in it. I then created a system-wide rule that searches for that header and for the ZIP extension. The rule stores any matching message in a subfolder in my personal account. I then periodically go through the folder and forward any legitimate messages (few and very far in between) to the intended recipient.

I know of no other way.

Tom, my apologies. I really should proofread better!

I am currently not blocking zip files but would like to.  We now have an FTP server which is the proper way to transfer that kind of thing, so I would like to prevent it from being transferred via email since it is a prevalent source of viruses.

Thank you
Bob

Bob,

Your message is unclear. Are you trying to block ZIP files, or are you currently blocking them and trying to stop that from happening?
