Is UTF-8 supported in email addresses?  I was given an email address like xyz.abß@domain.dom.  CGP seems to have encoded it as “quoted printable” before attempting to deliver:

17:19:36.582 4 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) rsp: 250 gib@gibhenry.com sender accepted
17:19:36.583 4 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) cmd: RCPT TO:<=?utf-8?Q?abc=2Exy=C3=9F=40domain=2Edom>
17:19:36.584 4 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) rsp: 250 =?utf-8?Q?abc=2Exy=C3=9F=40domain=2Edom will relay mail for an authenticated user
17:19:36.584 4 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) cmd: DATA
17:19:36.584 4 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) rsp: 354 Enter mail, end with "." on a line by itself
17:19:36.589 2 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) [3020253] received encrypted, 9041 bytes
17:19:36.589 4 SMTPI-000499([192.168.1.1]) rsp: 250 3020253 message accepted for delivery
But it bounced, apparently because of the encoding.  So, is that an invalid email address, or does CGP create a problem by “quoted-printable” encoding it?  (I tried the obvious substitution of ss for ß, but it didn’t work either.)  Cheers,
