The Trailer is only added to the Text part of messages.

In the multipart/alternative message, there was likely a Text part and an HTML part. The Text part got the Trailer, but most mail clients show the HTML part.

You cannot have the LIST module add the trailer to the HTML part, that have been asked numerous times over the last 15 years.

There is third-party helpers you can install that will do it.
We wrote two, one free - https://niversoft.com/products/cgscripts/#addfooter
and one which is faster, has more features and requires a license - https://niversoft.com/products/cgscripts/pro#addfooter

Hi all

I have an announcement list for our church, and only 3 or 4 people are authorized to send messages to the list, all othr list members are set to "moderate all". Running CGP 6.2.5 on MacOS X 10.12.

The list has no message header and a message footer (called "Trailer" in CGP speak), as follows:

#############################################################
Sie erhalten diese Mitteilung, weil Sie bei der Mailingliste
   "^E" <^N@^D> angemeldet sind.
Abmelden: E-mail an <^N-off@^D>
Alle Fragen zu dieser Mailingliste richten Sie bitte an
   <^N-request@^D>
Subject-Prefix is set to the list name in square brackets, "insert after Reply Prefix" is checked.

A message distributed these days did _not_ show this footer, while another one (sent by the same person, probably from the same computer as per the information in the "X-Original-Message-ID header)  about 2 weeks ago did. I checked whether I can find something in the log files - but the older file was no longer available, it  has been deleted after 7 days (too short setting for this, obviously).

I then looked at the message headers. The only difference I could see was

Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=----=_NextPart_000_0015_01D41A06.B703EA00
(this message came without footer)

Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary=----=_NextPart_000_0007_01D40FF8.69DA3080
(this message came with the footer, as expected)

Is there anything I can do to always show the footer lines?

Thank you, Christian
