Is there something else listening on port 25 on one of your addresses? Typically, Linux distro's have sendmail starting on 127.0.0.1 port 25 to handle local mail. With CG shutdown, run "netstat -an | grep :25" (without the quotes) and see if anything is returned. If you see a line like:

tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:25                0.0.0.0:*                   LISTEN

then you have something already listening on one of the addresses. Shut this service down and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps.

I started going to Windows Server 2003 and got cold feet and am going back to Linux.  However, even though my smtp listener is set to "all addresses" on port 25 it really isn't listening.  If I individually set the IP addresses in there they work fine.

Why can't I set it to all addresses?

Incidently, my Windows Server running 5.0.14 does not have this issue.
