We've been running RH AS4/CGP 5.x/ClamAV/SpamAssassin as the front end scanner for our student mail system (over 45,000 accounts) for almost 2 years now with vmotion and ha enabled on vmware 3.0.x and plan to upgrade it to 3.5 this summer.

Our base VMWare boxes are dual AMD 2220's with 12G on a Sun 6130 SAN (14 spindles on the vmware lun).

Haven't had too many issues with performance but then again this is a frontend scanner config.

Subject: Running CGP in a virtual server

Is anyone running CGP in a virtual server using VMware ESX 3i (or
anything else)?

Has anyone considered running CGP in a virtual server?

Anybody have any pros and/or cons to point out?

All comments and criticisms are welcome.  I would appreciate CommuniGate
Systems chiming in.
