I had checked all the questions asked in this list related to Archiving. I am not satisfied with any of the answers including which you(Stefan Seiz ) posted. Archiving is not actually taking the backup of users mails. The mails have to be saved in such a way that it should be compressed and accessible by the user. Normally this is a property of mail clients.Since my users are imap users mails should be saved in the server. I had searched about archiving before sending mail to the list.I got some Archiving tools also. Feith ,Mail Archiva and MPP are the tools which supports mail archiving in communigate. But none of this can be integrated with Outlook or webmail in such a way that , users have an archieved folder in their interface for browsing the old mails.
