Same problem here on an installation of 5.2.14 and Outlook 2007 in French.
Is it going to be fixed in the next release?

With the new MAPI (1.52.14) and Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2003, it’s impossible to open items from the reminder windows. Anyone have this problem? I’ll fill a bug report..
