Hi !

Last week our server crashed on several occasion, forcing us to reset it.

Some of our users uses imap to fetch email. On some clients (mac and thunderbird that I know of) users experienced mail that have been marked read being unmarked or mail that has been stored in another folder re-appeared in the INBOX. With our "old" server, we assumed that some data not yest written to disk being in the sata controler or disk cache.

We recently (last weekend) upgraded our hardware server to a more powerfull one, with an Adaptec raid controler with battery-backup and 512 megs cache.

Yesterday we had an onverload on our ups and it had shutdown most of our server, including the new one.

We still experienced the email being mark as read/unread for some clients.

So, now I assume CGate keeps some data in ram and not flush to disk.

Since we have battery backup on our raid controler, can I tell CGate to always flush it's cache to disk ?

Thanks,
