This is a compatibility update (for SpamAssassin 3.3), and also adds the features that were added to CGPSA 1.6 (which never made it out of beta). Like CGPSA 1.6, it requires SpamAssassin 3.0 or higher. Get it from . The main new features (from CGPSA 1.5) are support for temporary blacklisting, more intelligent handling of header truncation in headers-only mode, modification of the maximum message length to be scanned, support for more targeted SpamAssassin debugging, better compatibility with SpamAssassin's built-in SPF checks, and better functionality with SQL preferences. This release is essentially identical to 1.6b2, with the addition of compatibility code for SpamAssassin 3.3. It should thus be quite stable, as 1.6b2 has been in use for over 2 years (yes, I should have taken it out of beta... oh well). I'd like to get this one out of beta soon, so if I don't hear any error/problem reports by 2 April, I will release a final 1.7 version then. 1.7b1 - 5 February 2010 Bug Fixes - CGPSA 1.6b2 and lower were incompatible with SpamAssassin 3.3 due to changes in its internal data structures. This has now been fixed. Major Changes since 1.5 - CGPSA now requires SpamAssassin 3.0 or higher. - Added options to set a score ("temp_blacklist_score") and duration ("temp_blacklist_duration") for temporary blacklisting, using the temporary blacklisting facilities of CommuniGate Pro releases that support it (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). - Added the ability to turn on spamd-style logging ("spamd_style_log") (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). - Added a setting for the maximum message length to scan ("max_scan_length"), instead of the previous 128K hard-coded limit (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). - Added a setting for the maximum length of a response to return to CommuniGate Pro ("cgp_max_response_length") (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). - Added header reduction and header inclusion settings ("header_to_reduce", "headers_to_include") to handle long sets of headers in an orderly fashion (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). Minor Changes since 1.5 - Improved compatibility with SPF checking (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). - Extended the "sa_debug" parameter to enable the specification of specific SpamAssassin log facilities (such as "check") (thanks to Duane Hill for initial code). -Dan ------------------------------------------------------------------ Daniel M.
